In vivo learning made visible
We have adapted the hippocampus-dependent trace eye blink conditioning task to head-fixed functional imaging of the hippocampus to explore the cellular basis of learning.

Dissecting neural circuits
Genetic and activity-dependent targeting of neurons allows us to illuminate the functions of task-specific circuit elements.

Suspect neurons in Alzheimer’s disease
By detecting aberrant cells in the brains of young Alzheimer’s model mice, we can study the pathomechanism of the disease at the level of individual neurons.
